impetum is Latin for invasion. Originally a piece that was meant to evoke images of invading life forms, this work became a commentary on Humanity's need to explore and conquer even beyond the world. In doing so are we not invading the Universe itself? I find it humorous that some of are most popular fears (alien invasion and extraterrestrials) are quite possibly the way that the Universe views our species as we probe in space in hopes for another place to conquer.
