I have always enjoyed the echo/delay pedal, and how many musicians use it. This piece is a study of how rhythms and sounds interact with the delay. Short musical fragments are extended to create a persistently articulate, or “galloping,” sound. The total result is a slue of complex rhythms and textures that intertwine to make a creative and rapidly changing sound scape. I have chosen guitar for this improvisation, but the performer may use any instrument he/she desires with a preset echo/delay.
