Brush the Skies was premiered at the Phoenix Art Museum, in collaboration with the String department at Arizona State University. The space that was provided for the performance was the Knight Overlook, which looked out into a courtyard in the modern art section of the museum. 

 

I wanted to juxtapose the harsh lines and geometric shapes with the organic natural elements by way of utilizing the saxophone's strong metallic sounds against the violin's smooth wooden resonance.
